Eek, I Started a Blog!!

March 7, 2019

Starting a blog has been on my mind for quite some time now. I had a very small, personal blog back when our son, Coen, was born in 2013. But when our daughter, Josie, was born about two years later, the posts abruptly stopped, haha! Caring for two kiddos and keeping up with a regular habit of writing wasn’t in the cards for me. Fast forward to Josie turning 4 and Coen turning 6 this Spring, and I’m ready to get back into it.

I love the idea of blogging for two reasons: 1) It is an online version of journaling for me. I don’t have the best memory for things, and being able to look back and see the little details of life two weeks, months, or years from now is super appealing for me, and also for my husband Aaron. He loves the idea of this blog almost as much as I do, as he is quite the reminiscer. 2) I have found so much inspiration from the amazing women whose blogs I have followed over the years, and I am ready to put myself out there and see what I might be able to inspire in others. The world wide web is filled with so much darn information, that having some like-minded folks to share home design, kiddos tips, and general pretties with, is like having the largest group of girl friends ever!!

A quick little background on us: we moved to Milwaukee, WI in 2015 and are currently living in (and updating) a Dutch Colonial, and just love our little neighborhood. We are walking distance to so much, including school, shops, and restaurants. And even though we are only a few miles from the city, it feels like a small town. I wouldn’t change a thing about it, except maybe (or definitely) attaching our garage — it gets pretty cold and snowy around here!! So welcome to my little corner of the internet. I am happy you’re here and excited to start the journey of blogging our adventures with updating our home, raising two crazy kiddos, and everything in between!

Thanks for visiting, and look out for much more to come soon!
